About the farm.
Meadow Breeze Farm was initiated in Northern NH in 2002. The name for the farm arose when Mrs. Esther Parker who, while sitting under the vintage apple trees overlooking the meadows and enjoying the peaceful breeze declared, “Meadow Breeze Farm”.
Meadow Breeze Farm focuses on the gentle hand raising and training of our Shire partners. Our foals are imprinted at birth and handled daily by family and friends. They are exposed to dogs, cats, construction equipment, vehicle traffic, and are desensitized from birth.
Our Shires are considered members of the family and as such also travel extensively between our farm properties. They are given the best care we know to give and enjoy maximum customized pasturing and stabling as weather conditions dictate. We cooperate with our Veterinarians on their care and feeding program. Our Shires are demonstrated at Exhibitions and have been shown at New England Agricultural Fairs. Our Shires enjoy driving on our farms and related neighborhoods and special places such as Acadia National Park in Maine and the Picayune National Forest in Florida.
Meadow Breeze Farm’s mission is to contribute to the promotion of the beloved Shire horse. Realizing a dream of fellow Shire horse admirers, we have acquired Imported English Shire Stallion Eastoft Delegate. This dream was realized with the help and mentorship of Carl Moulton of New England Shire Center and other Shire admirers. Eastoft Delegate brings diverse genetics to expand to the United States Shire horse world. Please see Delegate’s Page for more details.
About the owners.
Glenn and Jennifer both appreciate the meaning and value of small farm life. They aren’t afraid of hard work and instead seek it. With hard work comes the reward of happy, healthy horses, productive pastures and well maintained farm facilities.
Glenn was raised on small farms in Maine and New Hampshire where he enjoyed helping with all the mechanical operations of the farm tractors and equipment. Jennifer grew up loving all animals and aspiring to enjoy a small farm lifestyle.
